Angel records tumble as angler hauls in 602lb catch
Angel of the North Fishing Lakes records tumbled with a huge haul of 602lbs taken by Angel regular Andy Hudson setting a new lake record on Bowes in the autumn.
It’s been another cracking year for fishing at Angel of the North as match records tumbled in quick succession culminating in a huge haul of 602lbs taken by Angel regular Andy Hudson setting a new lake record on Bowes in the autumn.
According to fishery owner Ann Adlington, who described the latest set of weights as ‘astronomical’, best results are achieved by anglers who adjust their tactics to suit the weather conditions and are prepared to experiment rather than stick to their ‘same old’ techniques. Even in cold weather and adverse conditions weight of nearly 300lbs are being taken. Angel of the North consistently fishes well with pleasure catches of between 400lbs and 500lbs frequently being reported.
