Worcester Angling Academy offers tuition for individuals and groups of all ages and experience ranging from one-to-one coaching through to accredited and non-accredited courses for schools and other organisations.

Mark EacockWorcester Angling Academy was founded by Mark Eacock (left), a fully qualified UKCC Tutor/Assessor/IV who is registered to provide training to the new Level 1 and Level 2 coaches. He is also the Centre Course Manager for all accredited and non-accredited courses being run by the Academy.

Mark heads a small team of experienced and accredited angling coaches who are experts in their chosen discipline of angling and have an in- depth knowledge of the fisheries in their area. They can provide expert advice about the best places to fish, obtaining a licence, the right tackle and bait to use, bankside safety and everything someone new to the sport needs to know about getting the most from this rewarding and exciting hobby.

Worcester Angling Academy's registered coaches have achieved the Sports Coach UK Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Angling, a standard which requires them to have:

£5,000,000 Public Liability insurance
CRB Registration to Enhanced Level
Appointed persons 1st Aid training and Child Protection Certificate
Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Angling approved by Sports Coach UK
Be licensed with Fishcoach.org
Continuous Professional Developmnent (CPD)

WAA coaches know how to catch fish!Whether you are a beginner, novice, intermediate or advanced angler, Worcester Angling Academy has a course which will set you on the right track to a rewarding hobby. Alternatively, perhaps you have just returned to angling and want to brush up on your old skills.

Among the courses available are:

Junior - A course for the younger angler. Each course is matched to the age, ability and physical needs of the pupil. Age range 3 – 16.
Adult - A course for the more 'mature' angler. Each adult will be assessed on their particular needs, and a suitable course will be individually tailored to meet them. Age range 17 - plus
Family - A family course designed specifically for the whole family. Maybe a 'lads and dads' day, or let mum come and enjoy the sport !
Disabled - These courses are designed with the specific angler in mind, and tackle and venues can be tailored to those needs.Please telephone for more details.
Corporate - An organised day, including tuition for the inexperienced, lunch and trophy presentation on completion.
