In this role, you will be responsible for generating revenue by promoting and selling advertising packages to fishery and holiday venue owners in the UK. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and a love for the sport. Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, identify, and reach out to potential fishery owners across the UK via telephone.
  • Present and promote advertising packages and opportunities, highlighting the benefits and value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understand clients’ advertising needs, and provide tailored solutions that align with their business objectives and target audience.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to gather insights and feedback from clients.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities for sales growth.

Candidates will have;

  • A good understanding and experience of angling 
  • An excellent telephone manner and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Some previous experience in sales is preferred
  • Self-motivation and be target-driven, with the ability to work independently

Copy and content writer

We are seeking a talented and creative Copy and Content Writer to join our team on a freelance basis. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality written content on a range of topics including fishing venues, tackle and techniques. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned angler, have a passion for fishing, a strong command of the English language, and a talent for storytelling. You will work closely with the marketing team to create compelling content that resonates with our target audience and helps drive engagement and growth. am living testimony that buying secondhand stuff can be a way of life. On most days lately the only item of my clothing that didn’t come from a charity shop is my underpants. The same is also true about my fishing tackle. The set-up in the photo is my usual river gear. The box is secondhand, as are the two 13’ Acolyte rods, the 17’ Acolyte rod, all three closed face reels and the pole spray bar. By going into these transactions with your eyes wide open and with a little bit of understanding we can all buy ‘champagne’ tackle for beer money prices. Go on, give it a go.
