Description

The lake was originally dug as a borrow pit, to make the ramps for the adjacent bridge. The lake itself is over a hundred years old. The lake itself has been dredged and desilted, it is between 4ft – 6ft deep, has 18 concreted fishing pegs and is stocked with common mirror carp and normal silver fish. In 2022 a 100kg carp won a fishing competition held on the site.
