Midland Angler magazineMidland anglers get their own newspaper

Anglers in the Midlands now have their very own angling newspaper with the launch of 'Midland Angler' by Rugby-based DHP Publications.

Packed with news, features, tips and adverts, 'Midland Angler' is available monthly from newsagents at just £1.50.

Midland Angler publisher David HallDavid Hall (left) of David Hall Publications said: "DHP have become very successful at launching specialists angling magazines and the Midlands area is probably home to more anglers than any other part of the UK and it seemed to me that it was only right they should have their very own newspaper."

"I had been thinking about this for quite some time and when the opportunity came to bring former 'Improve Your Coarse Fishing' Editor Gareth Purnell on board we realised that here was a unique opportunity for us as a Midlands-based company with a good stable of interesting publications to give anglers a newspaper.

"Whilst it is too early to hearald Midland Angler a success, all the early indications are that it has been very well received and several readers have already contacted us saying the publication is just what they need because it is local, covers the waters they fish and is relevant to their sport."

The new paper is aimed at readers in the West Midlands, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Hereford and Worcester and Shropshire.
