Entries start to flow for the Blake Hall Fish4Life 2006 Festival

This year's Fish4life Charity Festival at Staffordshire'e Blake Hall Fisheries will be held on Saturday, June 3 in aid of The Donna Louise Trust Children's Hospice in Trentham. The Hospice looks after and supports terminally ill children and their families.

The match will consist of 150 pegs, of which 70 have already been reserved, with the match being fished on Blake, Hall, Peninsula and the yet to be opened Capricous Pool. The all-inclusive entrance fee for the event is 25 and there will be more than 1,500 in prize money to give away with many large prizes having been donated by some of the big names in the tackle industry.

Event organiser Ross Woolridge said: "We are in the process of organising a Barbecue and beer tent so visitors to the event won't starve to death!"

The event is aimed at anglers of all ages and abilities and competitors are welcome to bring their friends and families to the day.

Anyone who would like to fish the event can book on-line at the Fish4Life website at www.fish4life.org.uk or request a form from Rodd by telephoning 07708 173059 or Paul on 07843 677834.

Spectators and others who do not want to fish the event but would be interested in turning up on the day are asked to make a donation.

The Donna Louise Trust provides a children's hospice service for Staffordshire and South Cheshire incorporating respite and palliative care both at the hospice and at home for children who suffer from illnesses which may prove life-threatening.

Our photograph shows Mark Hall who won the inaugural Fish4Life match held on August 13 last year at Blake Hall, an event which attracted 26 anglers.
