Situated only minutes from Stratford-upon-Avon town centre, Craig Cleeve House is described by owners Stuart and Julie Beese as a cross between a bed and breakfast and a small hotel. With a modern pleasant dining room, comfortable rooms - all with colour television and tea/coffee making facilities, and a cosy hotel bar it combines the best of both worlds.
Craig Cleeve House has a total of 16 bedrooms, nine of them with en-suite bathrooms and five of which are on the ground floor and are ideal for the handicapped or the elderly. It makes an ideal base for anglers looking for a break, whether travelling alone, in a group or with their wives and families.
Part of the beauty of Craig Cleeve House is that it is literally a few minutes walk from Stratford town centre with the beautiful and bustling River Avon, a wealth of shops which offer everything from High Street names to curious olde-worlde charm, half-timbered tea rooms and restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.
Whilst dad and the kids go fishing on the nearby River Avon at Seven Meadows and Stannells, mum can take in the sights of a town which attracts tourists from as far afield as Japan and the United States. There's a lot more to Stratford-upon-Avon than the famous bard! Indeed, many of the day-ticket fisheries on Fisheries.co.uk. are within easy striking distance.
Whatever you do, Craig Cleeve House will welcome you back after your day's activities to a drink in the bar, dinner in the A La Carte restaurant before it all starts again the following day! If you get back in time the hotel will provide an early dinner so you can take in the delights of the Shakespeare Theatre just over the river and round the corner, whilst early breakfasts can be made available for groups of anglers looking to make an early start.
Sporting an AA QQQ rating, Craig Cleeve House has parking for cars and coaches and offers special rates for groups of anglers. There is secure storage space for tackle whilst packed lunches are provided as required. Stratford also has its own tackle shop on the Evesham Road, only five to 10 minutes by car away.
Craig Cleeve House accepts Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Mastercard and aims to make its guests feel comfortable and welcome.
Whatever your interests, a break away from it all in Stratford-upon-Avon is interesting at any time of year.
With historic Warwick and its famous castle, the Cotswolds and even the cities of Birmingham and Coventry not too far away, it is an ideal venue when visiting the Midlands... and that's not to mention the fishing.
